Janice G. (Pool) Looper, R.N. died December 21, 2009 at her home in Miami, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Looper was born January 6, 1938 in Miami, Oklahoma to Horace Greeley Jr. and Belma (Thulin) Pool. Janice was a graduate of Miami High School Class of 1955. She received her Associates Degree in nursing from NEO A&M College. She retired from Integris Baptist Regional Health Center where she had served as nurse manager of the Skilled Nursing Facility, director of Outpatient Oncology Unit, and nurse manager of the Med-Surg floor.

She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Miami where she taught Pre-School Sunday School classes.

She married Dr. O. Joe Looper on April 27, 1997 on Monkey Island, Shangri-La area.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. O. Joe Looper of the home; sons, Don Mabury Jr. and Chris Mabury; daughters, Teresa Wyatt and Rebecca Mabury; step-daughters, Ivy and Felda Looper; step-son, John Looper; sisters, Patty Rypkema and Nancy Parker; brother, H.G. Pool; grandchildren Trisha and Tommy Wyatt; Shayne, Samantha, Cameron, Nicholas, Brandon and Michael Mabury; step-grandchildren, Chelsey Looper-Stockwell; John Hamilton, Michael, and Owen Looper; Charlie Deaton and Heather Uht, whom she considered her grandchildren; great grandchildren, Thomas Wyatt; Lexi Marling; Sarah Hudson; Brianna Uht; her special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald Ray Pool.

She has graciously donated her body for anatomical studies to the OSU School of Osteopathic Medicine.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 28, 2009 from 6-8 PM at Immanuel Baptist Church, Miami, Oklahoma. Memorial services will be Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 10:00 Rev.
