Daniel E. Mosler, 58, of Afton, passed away Friday, September 17, 2010 at St. John’s Medical Center in Tulsa.

Danny was born August 23,1952 in Parsons, Kan., the son of Jack E. and Wilma (Raetz) Mosler. He graduated from Cherryvale High School in 1971. He worked for Ashgrove Cement in Chanute, drove a truck for Ruan Transportation Co. and several other companies in the area.

He enjoyed tinkering with cars, NASCAR racing, camping, boating, fishing and spending time on the water.

He was preceded in death by his father Jack in 2009.

He is survived by two daughters, Mary Mosler and Troy Howard of Chanute, Kan., and Jennifer Tasche and husband Brian of Shawnee, Kan.; a grandson, William Phillip Howard; mother Wilma Mosler of Grove; two sisters, Jacqueline Caywood of Columbus and Lori Shrylock and husband Brent of Augusta, Kan.; two brothers, Dennis Mosler and wife Shelley of Owasso, and Douglas Mosler of Grove.

Memorials may be made to grandson “William Phillip Howard” to be used as an educational fund with the Murdock Funeral Home, 203 Illinois, Oswego, Kan. 67356 serving as custodian.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Murdock Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Beal officiating. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday. Internment will followed in Pleasant Valley Cemetery south of Oswego.
