Lyle Don (Goose) Blevins, 67, of Sulphur Springs, Ark. passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011 in Bentonville, Ark. Lyle was born in Coffeyville, Kan. on February 22, 1944, to Victory (Riggs) Jenkins and Jack D. Blevins.

Lyle married Darlene who survives him on August 13, 1987 in Independence, Mo.

Lyle served in the U.S. Army. Lyle worked as an electrician for BF Goodrich for over 20 years before retiring. Lyle enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing his guitar, singing and loved blue grass music. Lyle loved his friends and church. Lyle served as a Deacon and a Sunday School Teacher at Carr Baptist Church in Grove, Okla., served as a Choir Director at the First Baptist Church in Wyandotte, Okla., he also volunteered at the fire department of Wyandotte, Okla. and served as Mayor of Wyandotte. Lyle served many families during their time of need by singing at their funerals.

Lyle is survived by his wife Darlene of the home, mother; Victory Jenkins of Wyandotte, Okla., four daughters; Donna Lyons of Blue, Okla., Lisa McLean of Neosho, Mo., Cindy Jupiter of Caddo, Okla. and Vickie Ward of Neosho, Mo., three sons; Robert Homler of Polo, Mo., Byron Homler of Wyandotte, Okla. and Ryan Plummer of Neosho, Mo., thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends.

Lyle is also survived by four sisters; Martha Becker of Joplin, Mo., Kay Wesbrooks of Grove, Okla., Linda Bodenstein of Grove, Okla., Eunice Conner of Grove, Okla., and three brothers; Leroy Blevins of Broken Arrow, Okla., Larry Blevins of Wyandotte, Okla., Leon Melton, of Indiana.

Public visitation will begin 4 p.m. then the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Grand Lake Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Okla. Chapel Services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Grand Lake Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Redfearn officiating. Interment will follow at Buzzard Cemetery in Grove, Okla.
