ANDY BREWSTER

JUNE 11, 1919 - MARCH 7, 2008

FAIRLAND, Okla. -Andy Brewster, longtime Fairland resident, died at home Friday evening, March 7, 2008, after a lengthy illness.  He was 88.  Mr. Brewster was born June 11, 1919, at Cleora, OK, to Alvin and Rachel (Tyler) Brewster.  He was a veteran, having served in the US Marine Corp.  He had worked as a farmer, rancher, miner, and heavy equipment operator.  He retired from Eastern State Hospital as a facility engineer.  He moved to Fairland in 1956, coming from the Cleora/Afton area.

 He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Fairland.  He married Maxine Cron on March 12, 1940, at Jay, OK.  She survives of the home.  

Other survivors include three sons and their wives, Andy and Sharon Brewster of Miami, Larry and Jowona Brewster of Fairland, and Jerry and Janet Brewster of Broken Arrow, OK, a daughter and her husband, Mary K. and Ernie Johnson of Miami, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.  

He was preceded by twin sisters, Blanchie and Catherine Brewster.  A funeral was at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2008, at First Assembly of God Church in Fairland, with Rev. Tom Estes , Rev. Jackie Crafton, and Rev. Bob Newcomb, officiating.  Burial will be at Fairland Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons David Brewster, Terry Brewster, Jordan Brewster, James Brewster, Stephen Brewster, and Jansen Brewster.  Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons Jeremy Brewster, Brian Haynes, and Zachery McHenry.  A visitation was be from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, at Adcock Funeral Home.
