Henry Lee Hulsey, Grove resident, died at his home Saturday morning March 12, 2011at the age of 76 years. He was born November 11, 1934 in Jay, Oklahoma to his parents, Clyde and Maude (Walker) Hulsey.

Henry attended Jay schools and was a member of the 1953 graduating class from Jay High School. He served his country in the US Army in the late 1950s and upon returning to Delaware County, he attended NEO A & M in Miami and obtained his Associates Degree. Henry worked as a electrical engineer in the petroleum industry in Tulsa and worked at the Dowell Oil Field. He married Nina Flippin in 1984 in Tulsa.

Henry loved to tinker and fix things, from restoring old engines to old farm equipment. He enjoyed using his hands. Henry was also an avid reader who had an extensive collection of books.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Maude and a sister, Leta Hulsey Caudill.

Henry leaves many loving memories with his wife, Nina, of the home; stepson, Brian Brooks, of Tulsa; stepdaughter, Theresa Morris and husband Richard, of Broken Arrow; brother, Joe Hulsey, of Buena Park, Calif.; two nieces, Carol Savage, of Grove and Jenny Essenwanger, of Buena Park, Calif.; three great nephews, a great niece, numerous cousins, and many friends.

Graveside Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday March 16, 2011 at Southwest City Cemetery with Dr. Wayne Shaw officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Grove Veterans Ritual Team.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Richard Morris, Brian Brooks, Blake Brooks, and Leroy Harding.
