Mrs. Juanita G. Whiteley passed from this life on Tuesday May 4, 2010 in Vinita, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years.

Juanita was born on November 14, 1929 to her parents Blanche and Otis Johnson. On April 24, 1961 Mr. C.P. Whiteley took Miss Juanita Johnson as his bride in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She and Carl have lived in Miami since 1989 and have been faithful members of Northeast Baptist Church. Juanita enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting and farming. Her special love was her family and grandchildren.

Although she is no longer with us, her memory and legacy will be kept alive through the family and friends she leaves behind which include: her husband of 49 years, C.P. Whiteley of the home; two daughters, Vickie West of Atlanta, Ga. and Teressa Chaney of Phoenix, Ariz.; one son, Don Whiteley of Miami, Okla.; two brothers, Carl Johnson of Payette, Idaho and Jesse Johnson of Joplin, Mo.; two sisters, Mozelle Schmidt of Miami, Okla. and Pamela Teal of Grove, Okla.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Juanita is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jack Lankford; one brother, Doyle Johnson, and one sister, Joan Durbin.

Graveside Services will be held 11 a.m., Friday May 7, 2010 at Council House Cemetery in Wyandotte, Oklahoma with Pastors Marion Neighbors, Marion Oden and Calvin Springer officiating.

The family received friends for visitation on Thursday May 6, 2010 at Bethany Christian Church from 6-8 p.m.
