Kathleen Marie Workman, 101, of Grove, Okla. passed away Monday, June 7, 2010 at Grove Nursing Center. Kathleen was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y. on January 5, 1909 to Cyrus and Minnie McMicking.

She and her husband Herman Workman were married since in 1929 before he passed away in 1978. They owned and operated Motels and Restaurants in Niagara Falls before moving to Florida in 1951 where they owned and operated restaurant by the ocean. She moved to Ft. Worth, Texas in 1978 to live with her son and daughter-in-law before moving to Grove, Okla. in 2007 where she resided at Grove Nursing Center.

She enjoyed reading, sewing, telling stories and jokes, traveling, and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by both her parents; her husband Herman Workman; one son, William L. Workman; and one half-brother John McMicking.

Kathleen is survived by one son, Derek H. Workman of Sarasota, Fla. and dear friend Ramona Valerio of Albuquerque, N.M.; three grandsons, Derek J. Workman of Whitefish, Mont., Robert H. Workman and wife Kerry Workman of Parker, Colo.; three granddaughters, Donna and husband Don Moody of Grove, Okla., Cheryl Le Lievre of Whitefish, Mont. and Jami Iacovelli of Jamestown, N.C.; five great-grandsons, Eric Moody of Austin, Texas, Steven Moody of Alvarado, Texas, Will Workman of Denton, Texas, Aaron Workman of Denton, Texas, and Matthieu Le Lievre of Portland, Ore.; six great-granddaughters, Jessica Martinez of Durango, Colo., Martine Lievre of Portland, Ore., Amara Iacovelli  and Kayla Iacoveilli, Martha Bockhaus and husband Beau of Bossier City, La., Amy Workman  and Fiance Mike Hollister of Bossier City, La., Kathleen Moody of Grove, Okla.; two great great-grandsons, Boston Bockhaus of Bossier City, La. and Elias Biglione of Portland, Ore.; two great great-granddaughters, Baylor Bockhaus of Bossier City, La. and Parker Le Lievre of Portland, Ore.; and one daughter-in-law, Lavena J. Workman of Grove, Okla.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
