Bill Lunsford, Sr., resident of Miami, Okla., died September 21, 2010. He was 84.

He worked as a tube inspector for B.F. Goodrich, started and pastored the Afton Holiness Church, and farmed. Bill was born June 22, 1926 in Vancouver, Wash., to James and Marjorie (Vantyl) Lunsford. He married Rebecca Ruth Dowty on July 16, 1947 at Columbus, Kan.

He was preceded by his parents; three brothers, Jimmy Lunsford, Jacob Lunsford, and Robert Lunsford; and one sister, Ione Davies.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca, of the home; one son, Bill Lunsford Jr., and wife Karen, of Fairland, Okla.; three daughters, Jeanne Corn and husband Don, of Miami, Okla., Susie Hastings and husband Dennis, of Wyandotte, Okla. and Patricia Carver and husband Kenny, of Portland, Texas; fifteen grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, September 24, 2010 at the Adcock Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, Okla. with Rev. Rick Hollenbeck and John Hollenbeck officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Carver, Don Corn, Dennis Hastings, Gary Hunt, Robert Burkybile, and Glen Lowe. A visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the Adcock Funeral Home Chapel in Miami. Burial will be at GAR Cemetery.
