SOUTH WEST CITY, MO - James Howard (Jim) Donohue, 63, of South West City , MO. , passed away Tuesday, December 9th, 2008 at St. John’s Regional Medical Center , Joplin , MO.

Jim was born in Joplin , MO on September 19, 1945, the son of the late Daniel Lynus and Ruth Ceclia (Rucker) Donohue. Jim was married to Sharon (Proctor) Donohue.

Jim graduated from Grove High School 1963. He continued his education at the Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore , OK from 1964-1965, and he also attended Central Missouri State University for two years. Jim owned and operated the Mill liquor store which has been a lifetime family business. Jim worked as a boiler maker in Minneapolis , Minnesota and locally. He was a member of the Iron Makers Union for over forty years. Jim was previously married to Shine Howard Carson of Bixby , OK the mother of his children.

Jim definitely enjoyed the fast life. He liked to race his drag cars, drag boats, riding motorcycles, even bungee jumping. He was an avid collector.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

James is survived by his wife Sharon Donohue of Grove, OK. one daughter; Cynthia Donnhue wife of Tim Smith of Miami, OK. And one son Dustin Donohue husband of   Shelley of Hillsboro, OR. Jim is also survived by five brothers; David Donohue of Grove, OK, Guy Donohue of Tulsa, OK, Timothy A. Donohue of Baldwin, KS, J. Patrick Donohue of Edmond, OK, W. Charlie Donohue of Jay, OK.

Services will be held on Friday December 12, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Funeral Services of Grand Lake Chapel in Grove, OK. Guy Donohue will be officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.funeralservicesofgrandlake.com.
