MARCH 24, 1935 – MARCH 25, 2008

GROVE – Thomas Deloy Cantrell, 73 year-old lifetime resident, passed away Tuesday March 25, 2008 in Grove, Oklahoma following an extended illness.

Thomas  was born March 24, 1935 in Grove Oklahoma to William Lee and Belva (Day)Cantrell. Thomas married Jeannie Burger Cantrell on April 13, 1967 in Jay, Oklahoma. Thomas and Jeannie were married for 41 years.

After serving his country in the U.S. Army Thomas worked at Roston Parina several years as a truck driver in Noel, MO. After leaving that job he went to work at Wal-Mart where he worked for 12 years before retiring. Hey enjoyed fishing and especially trading all sorts of things.

Both of Thomas parents, one sister Gene Bushay and one brother Elmo Cantrell preceded him in deat.

Surviving family members include his wife Jeannie Cantrell of the home, one daughter, Brenda Austin and husband Ronnie, one son Leroy Cantrell and wife Christi, eight grandchildren, Shelby Austin, Trinity Austin, Tesha Cantrell, Kayla Cantrell, Noah Cantrell, Sydney Cantrell, Saraya Flynn and Chris Flynn, a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were Saturday March 29, 2:00 p.m. at Lee Cemetery in Gravette, Arkansas. Rev. Herbert Scott officiated the service. Casket bearers were Ronnie Austin, Leroy Cantrell, Trinity Austin, Tommy Cantrell, Jason Pope and Chris Glenn.

The family received friends and relatives on Friday from 6-7:00 p.m. March 28, 2008 at Funeral Services of Grand Lake Chapel in Jay, Oklahoma. Services were entrusted to Funeral Services of Grand Lake of Lake
