Marylin Frances Caldwell, 73, Clever, MO, died September 21, 2009 at her home in Clever, following a short illness.
Marylin was born March 12, 1936 in Stark City, MO., the daughter of A. L. Keeling and Juanita (Harris) Keeling. She graduated from Fairview High School, received a Bachelors degree from MSU in Springfield, and her Masters at PSU in Pittsburg. She taught first grade at Kelsey Norman Elementary in Joplin, Mo and worked for Stage (formerly Anthony’s) in Grove, OK for 16 years.
She was active in the United Methodist Church in Grove, the Elks Club and Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority. She married Don Caldwell, December 27, 1957, in Joplin, MO. He preceded her in death March 21, 2002.
She is survived by three brothers: Howard Keeling, Clever, MO; Allen Keeling, Neosho, MO, Wesley Keeling, Stark City, MO; two sisters: JoAnn Rotgers, Republic, MO; Patricia Tresler, Clever, MO; sisters-in-law, Twyla & Melba Caldwell, Joplin, MO; seven nieces and nephews and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Friday, September 25, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Clark Chapel of Memories, Neosho, MO. Burial will be in Olympus Cemetery, Grove, OK. Friends called at the funeral home Thursday from 9 am – 7pm, with the family receiving friends from 6 -7pm.
