MARCH 13, 1929 - MARCH 5, 2009

JAY - Daisy W King, 79, Lifetime Jay Area Resident, passed away Thursday, March 5th, 2009 at Grove General Hospital, following an extended Illness. Daisy was born in Delaware County, on March 13, 1929, the daughter of Willard and Ethel Mable (Brannon) Thompson. She attended the Ward School and was a homemaker most of her life.

On April 16, 1947 in Columbus, Kansas, Daisy married Joseph Joe King. She was an active member of the Soulís Harvest Church in Jay, OK. Daisy enjoyed several hobbies including sewing, gardening and cooking, and was especially well known for her fried chicken.

Daisy was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three brothers, Charlie Thompson, Happy Thompson, and Willard Thompson Jr. and two sisters, Gethel Powell and Pearl Stoneburner.

Daisy is survived by a daughter, Deanna and husband Chuck Long of Jay, OK.† son, Wesley King and wife Sue of Jay, OK.† daughter Rosemary and husband Stan Spence of Disney, OK.† son, Frank King and wife Jennifer of Jay, Ok, son Ben King and wife Sharron of Jay, OK. and Nineteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Daisy is also survived by a sister, Ann Patterson of Tenmile, Oregon, Four brothers, Eugene† Thompson of Myrtle Creek, Oregon., Arthur Thompson of Roseburg, Oregon., Leon Thompson of Tenmile, Oregon.,

Graveside Services were held at Ward Cemetery in Maysville, Arkansas at noon on Tuesday, March 10th 2009, Rev. Tim Lunsford will officiate.

The Family received friends and relatives Monday 6-8 p.m.† at the Funeral Services of Grand Lake Chapel in Jay, Oklahoma
