Norman Earl Redford was born on November 5, 1932, to Edgar Jennings Redford and Elizabeth (Gleason) Redford in Lewis Station, Missouri. Norman passed from this life on November 10, 2010 in Grove, Oklahoma at the age of 78.

Norman married Karen LaMae Lady on April 18, 1955 in Lawrence, Kansas. The Lord blessed this union with a beautiful son Rodney Dennis Redford.

Norman was retired from the United States Postal Service, and was a professional photographer. He loved taking pictures. Norman and Rodney loved doing everything together. They loved baseball games, fishing, and riding motorcycles. Norman was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Grove, Oklahoma. Before going into the service he worked at the Campanile on the KU University campus with his father Edgar. Norman served his country in the United States Navy and is a veteran of the Korean War. He received Jesus as his Lord and Savior on Christmas Eve in Japan while serving in the Navy. During this time Norman and Karen would correspond with letters and Norman was infamous for his seven page beautiful hand written letters. He received the call to the ministry at this time. He was the pastor at several congregations in California, including prison ministry in Apple Valley, Calif.

Norman is survived by his loving wife Karen of the home, one loving son, Rodney Dennis Redford of Grove, Oklahoma; one sister, Betty Pippert of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; and one brother, Jerry Redford of Dayton, Ohio. Norman is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Church services will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at the Clinton Parkway Assembly of God Church in Lawrence, Kan. Interment will follow at Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence, Kan.
