Rick Lee Spence, 54, of Jay, Okla., passed away Tuesday, November 23 at the Meadowbrook Specialty Hospital, Tulsa, Okla.

Rick was born in Gravette, Ark. on February 13, 1956, the son of the late Hazel (Bryson) Huckaby and Orville Spence. He worked as a Drywall Contractor, along with general carpentry. Rick was known as a funny and witty person. He liked to fish and was a talented painter and drawer.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Debra Zimmerman; one brother, Calvin Spence; along with both of his parents.

Rick is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Phillips of Bentonville, Ark.; four sons, Ronnie Lee Spence of Decatur, Ark., Russell Lee Spence of Gravette, Ark., Justin Spence of Jay, Okla. and Rusty Lee Spence of Jay, Okla.; two sisters, Sandra Wofford of Colcord, Okla. and Debra Wagoner of Highfill, Ark.; and one brother, Wayne Spence of Colcord, Okla.; and six grandchildren.

Graveside services were 2 p.m. on Monday, November 29 2010 at the Dickson Cemetery at Cherokee City, Ark. Bro. Larry Ellis officiated.
