Mr. James “Big” Dumas passed from

this life on April 4, 2011 in Joplin, Missouri at the age of 56

years. James was born December 25, 1954 in Miami, Oklahoma to his

parents Robert and Betty Dumas.

 

James served his country faithfully

n the United States Army. He was employed by the City of Miami in

the street department. James also owned an operated Miami small

engine repair service for the last seven years. James loved

fishing, playing pool and was a true blue OU sports fan. He also

enjoyed reading, gardening and BBQ-ing. James loved spending time

with his boys and his loyal schnauzer companion.

 

James is survived by his wife,

Beverly Dumas, of the home; two sons, Tim and wife Melissa Dumas of

Owasso, Okla., Lonnie and wife Cortni Dumas of the home; five

brothers, Richard Dumas of Texas, Charlie and wife Connie Smith of

Seneca, Missouri, Walter and wife Delores Dumas of Miami, Oklahoma,

Robert Dumas of Riverside, California, John Dumas of Golden,

Missouri; three sisters, Roberta Dollison of Independence, Kansas,

Jan Pearce of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Brenda Dumas of Arizona.

 

James is preceded in death by his

mother; one daughter, Jamie Dumas; one brother, Lonnie Dumas; and

one grandchild, Holden Dumas.
