Georgia Howard, resident of Grove, died at Integris Grove General Hospital, Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, after an illness. She was 87.
Mrs. Howard was born in Stephens County, OK, on Dec. 12, 1921, to Charles and Ruby (Davis) Loper. She had worked as a sewing machine operator for the Roundhouse Overall Factory and as a bearing inspector in quality control at Tinker Air Force Base.
She married Lonnie Little in 1945. He preceded her in 1953. She married Alva O. Howard in 1964, and he preceded her in 1997.
She moved to Grove in 2007, coming from Ada, OK.
She is survived by two sons and their wives, James and Colene Little of Ada, OK, and Robert and Linda Little of Harlington, TX, , a daughter and her husband, Pat and Bruce Bates of Grove, a brother, James Loper of OK, a sister, Vera Anderson of Shawnee, OK, five grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents, two husbands, two brothers, Jack Loper and Charles Loper, and two sisters, Juanita Singleton and Daisy Loper.
A graveside service was held Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Tecumseh City Cemetery in Tecumseh, OK. Rev. Mark Hester officiated. Arrangements under the direction of Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland.
