Emma Belle Phillips passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2009, after an extended illness.
Emma was born on July 21, 1929, to John and Nettie Ledean (Gates) Pritchett. She was a lifetime Jay area resident.
Emma worked most of her life as a beautician and florist. She owned Country Corner in Jay, Oklahoma for many years. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially chasing her rowdy grandkids, gardening and riding horses. Emma married Scott Phillips on March 18, 1968.
Emma was preceded in death by her husband Scott Phillips, her parents, one brother, Edward Pritchett, and two sisters, Maxine Black and Mirine Russell.
She is survived by one step son, Joe Phillips and wife Julie of Muskogee, Oklahoma; one daughter, Rhonda Cunningham and husband Dearl of Jay, Oklahoma; three sisters, Nadine Hilton of Pryor, Oklahoma, Roma Jean Williams and husband Tom of Salina, Oklahoma, and Niva Elam and husband Wayne of Pryor, Oklahoma; two brothers, Wesley Pritchett and wife Lois of Jay, Oklahoma, and Bob Pritchett of Salina, Oklahoma; four grandsons, Ty Cunningham and wife Jennifer of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Wade Cunningham and wife Jackie of Jay, Oklahoma, Clint Cunningham and wife Shannon of Jay, Oklahoma, and Josh Cunningham of Jay, Oklahoma; and two great-grandchildren, Keaton Bell Cunningham and Falyn Kale Cunningham.
Funeral Services will be held at Funeral Services of Grand Lake in Jay, OK, on Wednesday December 30, 2009 at 10 a.m.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Funeral Services of Grand Lake Chapel in Jay, OK.
