Elzie Alvie Earls, resident of Fairland, Okla., died Thursday, December 2, 2010 at St. Johnís Hospital in Joplin, Mo. He was 75.
He was a self-employed farmer and truck driver. He was in the US Army and served in the Korean War. Elzie was born March 24, 1935 in Fairland, Okla., to Charles and Grace (Gammile) Earls. He married Mary Tipton, she preceded him in death on December 9, 2009.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, C.B. Earls and Kenneth Earls; two sisters, Norma Jean Johnson and Peggy Earls.
He was survived by two sons, Jason Earls and spouse Faith, of Fairland, Okla. and Russell Earls and spouse Sandra, of Fairland, Okla.; one daughter, Diane Panter and spouse Johnny, of Fairland, Okla.; one sister, Clara Mae Rowley, of Grove, Okla.; seven grandchildren and 11great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday 6, 2010 at Fairland First Assembly of God Church with Rev Troy Selsor officiating.
Serving as pallbearers were Chris Webber, Mike Robyler, Travis Earls, Dale Chaffin, Quindell Stanley, and Christopher Collins.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Woodson Wilson and Bob Detherage.
A visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the Adcock Funeral Home Chapel in Fairland, Okla. Burial was at Fairland Cemetery in Fairland, Okla.
Services are under the direction of Roland Adcock, Adcock Funeral Home, Fairland, Okla.
