MARGARET LUCILLE LEFFINGELL

OCTOBER 17, 1920 - FEBRUARY 27, 2008

LANGLEY, Okla. - Margaret Lucille Leffingwell, 87 year old Langley resident, died late Wednesday evening, February 27, 2008 at her home.

She was born October 17, 1920 in Scott City, Kansas to Loren M. and Gertrude (Briggs) Duncan.  Margaret was a graduate of Caney High School in Caney, Kansas.  She was married to Dee Leffingwell; he preceded her in death in 1964.  Margaret worked for ARCO Warehouse in Tulsa for 20 years.  She lived for many years in Neodesha, Kansas, and Jenks, Oklahoma, before moving to Langley about 20 years ago.

The family includes: one step-daughter, Gleta Leffingwell Elmore of Dewey, a daughter, Gayle Young of Tulsa, a son Larry Leffingwell of Magnolia, Texas; a sister Peggy Williams of Farmington, New Mexico; fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends in Langley and northeast Oklahoma.

The memorial service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home Chapel in Langley, with Pastor Tommy Hopper officiating. Preferred memorials may be made to the Friends of the Langley Public Library, P.O. Box 655, Langley, OK 74350.
