GROVE - James Russell Scott, 85, of Strang, OK passed away Tuesday, December 30th, 2008 at St. Francis Health System, Tulsa, OK.  Russell was born in Lexington, KY on January 29, 1923 to late Robert and Mattie Wallace (Riddle) Scott.

 He attended Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK.  He served in the U.S. Navy in WW II and Korean War.

 Russell married his wife Ada Wells on May 8, 1948 in Lexington, KY.

Russell worked for Boeing as a Senior Estimator in the aerospace industry.  He enjoyed going to church, bingo, building things with his hands, and square dancing.

 He helped build the community center in Strang, OK and loved working ceramics with his wife.

Russell is preceded in death by his wife, one brother; Robert E. Lee Scott Jr., and both parents.

Russell is survived by a daughter, Janet Sue Reece and husband Eddie of Sand Springs, OK; three sons, James Scott of Strang, OK; Darrell Scott and wife Louvena of Tulsa, OK; Carl Scott and wife Susan of Little Rock, AR.  Russell is also survived by two sisters, Thelma Kaiser and Elizabeth Williams; three brothers, John Scott and wife Pat, Paul Scott and wife V, and Tom Scott and wife Barbara.

 Services were held at South Grand Christian Church in Langley, OK on Saturday January 3, 2008 at 10:30 A.M.
