Loretta M. Hansen, age 86, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 at Sunnyside Health Care in Cloquet.
Services: Visitation was Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service at the Cloquet Gospel Tabernacle, officiated by Pastor Fred Goldschmidt. Pallbearers were her six grandsons, and honorary pallbearer was her brother, Donald Nendick. Music provided by Kevin and Gail Hamre. Interment services will be at Atkinson Cemetery at a later date.
She was born in 1921 in Carlton, Minn. to William and Ruth (Atkinson) Nendick and graduated from Carlton High School. Loretta was united in marriage to Hartvik T. Hansen of Cloquet in 1942. As a homemaker and mother of four, she will be fondly remembered for her gracious hospitality. Loretta was an active member of Cloquet Gospel Tabernacle and she and her husband served at Sawyer Chapel diligently for many years.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hartvik; her brothers, Raymond and William Nendick.
She is survived by her children, James (Carol) Hansen of Corcoran, Minn., Susan (Ted) Belich of Carlton, Minn., Keith (Tricia) Hansen of Ramona, Calif., and B.J. (Mike) Hansen-Childs of Grand Rapids, Minn.; six grandsons, Brad (Shelly), Brian (Jodi), Brent (Tanya), and Brandon Belich, Erik and Jake Odden; five granddaughters, Ann (Ralph) Hamann, Shere (Bodie) Perkins, Carrie (Andrew) Carlson, Erica and Alisa Hansen; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Don (Marilyn) Nendick of Cloquet; sister-in-law, Delores Nendick of Cloquet; and numerous nieces and nephews.
