Long time resident of Miami, Pattye Jean Moores passed from this life and entered into heavens gates on July 1, 2011 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years.
Pattye was born June 23, 1925 to her parents Pat and Nora (Harris) Freeling in Lindsey, Oklahoma. On November 24, 1948, Mr. Frank Moores took Miss Pattye Freeling as his bride in Tulsa, Oklahoma and were married for over 48 years. Pattye was a Legal Secretary for the Supreme Court Justice. She enjoyed her job and her co-workers. Patty was a faithful and dedicated member of First United Methodist Church for over 30 years. Pattye and Frank were also a charter members at Christ United Methodist Church. It was one of Pattye’s true joys to sing in the choir at both churches. Her hobbies were numerous but golf, tennis, dancing, and playing bridge were just a few Pattye gave her heart to. When there was extra time she truly enjoyed shopping. Frank and Pattye spent quality time together in their special place at Palm Springs. They loved their get away time and enjoyment of each other. Pattye was truly a special kind of lady. The love for her grandchildren and children was un-presidented. Each member of the family knew their special place in her heart. You could not be around Pattye for long to know she loved life to the fullest. Just to be in her presence would lift your spirits and heart. She could keep you laughing with her jokes and story telling. To know her was truly a gift. Pattye’s motto for life was she would love to pass on to all: “Just Have Fun”.
Although she is no longer with us, her memory and legacy will be kept alive through the family and friends she leaves behind which include one daughter, Susie K. Klahr of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two sons, David Moores of South Lake Tahoe, California, and Gary Moores of Eufaula, Oklahoma; and three grandchildren, Kristi and husband Forrest Fields, Kristopher Klahr and Lindsay Moores.
