JULY 9, 1944 - JANUARY 26, 2009

FAIRLAND - Roy C. Selsor, former resident of Fairland, died at Independence, KS, Monday afternoon, Jan. 26, 2009, after an illness.  He was 64.  Mr. Selsor was born July 9, 1944, at Oklahoma City, to Fred and Edrie (Cron) Selsor. 

He was a welder, having worked for different welding shops in Kansas.  He married Debbie Frost on March 2, 1982. He moved to Independence in 1994, moving there from Neodesha. 

He is survived by four sons, Charlie and Dawn Selsor of Vinita, Mark Selsor of Fairland, Donald Selsor of Pollack, LA, and Leroy Selsor of Hutchinson, KS., two brothers, Troy and Carole Selsor of Fairland, and Roger and Willa Selsor of Fairland, four sisters, Carole Van Hoose of Fairland, Patsy and Frank Tipton of Fairland, Linda Williams of Tulsa, and Sharon and Chuck Arbuckle of Girard, KS, five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded by his parents, his wife, a son, Tim Selsor, a brother, J.C. Selsor, and a two sisters, Bonnie Matney and Gail Hayworth. 

A funeral will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 31, 2009, at First Assembly of God Church in Fairland, with Rev. Jackie Crafton, Jr., officiating. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Selsor, Ronnie McGuire, Vince Lett, Jeff Tipton, Jerry Brewster, and Andy Brewster, Jr.  Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Cron, Robbie Franklin, Bob Franklin, Larry Brewster, and Kevin Forgey. 

Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery. 

A visitation will be from 6-8 p.m, Friday, at Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland.
