Suzanne Amanda Knapp passed from this life on Dec. 21, 2011, in Tulsa at the age of 67. Suzanne was born on Sept. 16, 1944, to Charles Barone and Margret Floyd Hileman in Erie, Penn. Suzanne was retired, having worked at Bordertown Casino in housekeeping and enjoyed what she did. Mrs. Knapp enjoyed her women's group at church and loved to play Bonko with her ladies group.
Before coming to Grove Suzanne was heavily involved with the Senior Citizens Group with Meals on Wheels and Toys for Tots in Los Angeles, Calif. She loved the Christmas season and would keep it up all year if she could. Suzanne loved her dogs Daisy and
Mrs. Knapp is survived by two sons: Blanco Hernandez of Grove and Bert Carpenter of Garfield, Ken.; two daughters: Kathy Viles and husband Lewis of Del Norte, Colo., and Brenda Smith of Atlanta, Ga.; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, both her husband's Bert Carpenter and Frank Hernandez and her three dogs, Molly, Sadie Lady and Bessie.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at 6 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Grove, with Pastor Randall Hamill officiating.
Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, from 6-8 p.m. at the Grand Lake Funeral Home in Grove. Services are under the direction of Grand Lake Funeral Home of Grove. Online condolences may be made at www.grandlakefuneralhomes.com.
