COLCORD - Jack Aaron Doughty, 63 year-old resident of Colcord, Oklahoma, died July 22, 2008, at his residence.† Born April 24, 1945 in Stockton, California, he was the son of William Fred Doughty and Hazel Bernice Powell Doughty.† He lived most of his life in Colcord and graduated from Colcord High School.† He had a major role in establishing the Colcord Senior Center and was President of the Center for 10 years.† He was an auto parts manager for Gibsonís in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. †

Survivors include his mother and father, William and Hazel Doughty of Colcord, Oklahoma; one brother, Ronald Doughty and wife Wanda of Hollister, Missouri; two sisters, Charlene Archibald and husband Gerry of Littleton, Colorado, and Donna Hignite and husband Billy of Colcord, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be Troy Crites, Ricky Hignite, Gerry Archibald, Jim Botts, Stanley Hignite and Paul Eisler.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Mr. Larry Ellis, Pastor Ron Johnson, and Pastor Andy Kuehn officiating.† Burial will follow at Row Cemetery, near Colcord, Oklahoma.† Visitation will be 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2008, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.† Memorial contributions can be made to the Colcord Senior Citizens Center, Colcord, OK 74338.
