Phyllis Jo Faulconer, age 75, of Grove, died Tuesday, January 11, 2011. Phyllis was born on May 17, 1935 in Coodys Bluff, Oklahoma, the daughter of Paul and Mary Kemmerer.
On May 8, 1950 she was united in marriage to Homer J. Faulconer and together they raised two children. She lived in Lawrence, Kan. several years running an adult care facility out of her own home for more than 20 years. She was also a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Lawrence. Phyllis loved her family, collecting antiques and dolls, shopping flea markets, and cooking.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Pence; and husband, Craig of Grove; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rose Mary Bryant and husband Bud of Eudora, Kan., and Barbara Roper of Lawrence, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Homer Faulconer; son, Jimmy Faulconer; and brother, Barry Nall.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel, Vinita. Funeral services were 2 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel with Pastor Clint Sinclair officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
