Mr. Lloyd W. Howerton passed from this life on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at his home in Malvern, Arkansas. Lloyd was born April 6, 1942 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to his parents Hiram and Geneiva May Howerton.
Lloyd was a truck driver and worked for Al-Cowell Trucking Co. for many years. He and wife Carole married April 4, 1986. They both have lived in Hot Springs their entire life. Lloyd loved fishing, deer hunting, Nascar and especially watching Carl Edwards race. Lloyd also enjoyed watching Carole in the garden. He had a special friend and companion his heinz 57 “Lottie Ann”.
Lloyd is survived by is wife, Carole, of the home; two sons, Lloyd Howerton of Hot Springs, Arkansas and William Howerton of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two daughters, Barbie Weatherford and Nora Lee Reives both of Hot Springs, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Karen Howerton of Hot Spring, Colo. two aunts, Joyce Ellis of Smithville, Tenn. and Marcille Hughes of Garland County, Arkansas.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Robert Shearer; three brothers; and one sister.
Graveside services were held 2 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 at GAR Cemetery in Miami, Oklahoma with Pastor CC Craig officiating.
