Ruby Swofford Keeland, resident of Grove Nursing Center, died Sept. 5, 2009. She was 94. Mrs. Keeland was born Nov. 16, 1914, at Berryville, AR., to Clarence and Alta (Plumlee) Swofford. She married Milford Austin Keeland on Aug. 26, 1933. He preceded her in 1973. She had worked on the farm with her husband. She moved to Grove, from Broken Arrow, OK, in 2005. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Oak Grove, AR., and attended Woodlake Assembly of God in Tulsa, OK, and First Christian Church in Grove, OK. She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Marie and Johnny Smith of Grove, brother, Archie Swofford of Berryville, AR., sisters, Ruth Freeman of Tulsa, Vada Austin of Fairland, and Evelene Loftin of Tulsa; 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, husband, and a sister, Blanche Summers. A funeral will be at 1:00 p.m., Sep. 12, 2009, at the Chapel located at Hale Cemetery in Oak Grove, AR., with Rev. Harvey Butler and Rev. Keith Butler officiating. Pallbearers will be Richard Case, Bruce Case, Dusky Hamm, Tyler Hamm, Ricky Whiteley, and Jonathon Case. Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Ball, Robert Hamm, and Johnny Smith. Burial will be at Hale Cemetery in Oak Grove, AR.
