Gracin James ‘Brownie’ Brown, 41, of Jay Oklahoma passed away at his home on Saturday. September 12, 2009.
Gracin was born November 8, 1967 in Pryor, Oklahoma, the son of Darrell Dale Dean Brown Jr. and Nancy Louise (Ballou) Hesser. Gracin married Alison Rena Ferguson on November 19, 2008 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He was a member of New Jordan Baptist Church in Salina, Oklahoma. Gracin was a framer for La-Z Boy in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He was an avid University of Oklahoma fan, liked to fish, hunt, play horseshoes, and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Alison Brown of the home; his mother Nancy and her husband Bill Hesser, Colcord, Oklahoma; in-laws Wayne and Judy Ferguson, Lone Star, Texas; son Dagan Lee Williams; brothers Therin Brown of Jay, Oklahoma; Shawn and wife Shelly Brown of Jay, Oklahoma; sister Ladonna Lynn Brown of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; step brothers Kevin Hesser of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Shawn Hesser of Cushing, Oklahoma and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Services for Mr. Brown will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 2 p.m. Pastor Rick Pathkiller and Rev. Kevin Collins will officiate the service. Burial will be at the Little Rock Cemetery near Locust Grove, Oklahoma under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
