JEAN BROWN

† Jean W. Brown, 81, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died November 10, 2008, at her home. Born March 23, 1927, in Springdale, Arkansas, she was the daughter of James Beakley Wiseman and Julia Ethel Downun Wiseman. She attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She taught kindergarten, first, second and third grade. She taught in the Bentonville and Centerton school districts. She established the First Baptist Church kindergarten in Siloam Springs. She also worked many years with her husband in the insurance business. She moved to Siloam Springs June 3, 1966, from Centerton, Arkansas. She was a member of Gideonís International Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary in Siloam Springs. Jean was a member of Robinson Baptist Church. She married Charles Leslie Brown on May 25, 1947 in Centerton, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include her husband Charles of the home; two sons, James Leslie Brown and wife Salena of Lowell, Arkansas, and Charles Eugene Brown and wife Lane of Birmingham, Alabama; one daughter, Lydia Jean Noll and husband Alan of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Ernest Tye Wiseman of Seattle, Washington; and one sister, Bobbie Kathryn Wiseman of Centerton, Arkansas.

†Funeral services was 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Rev. Wil Gardner and Rev. Bruce Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.†† Visitation held 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at Wasson Funeral Home.
