Hazel Johnson, lifetime resident of Grove, died at Grove Nursing Center, Monday, May 31, 2010, after a lengthy illness. She was 90.
Mrs. Johnson was born May 25, 1920, at Grove, to Elwood and Bertha (Caudill) Frazier. She was a graduate of Grove High School. She was married to Elwood Johnson, and worked in retail sales for Ramsey’s Clothing Store in Grove. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grove.
She is survived by three sons and their wives, Bennett and Mary Kay Johnson of Springhill, Kan., John and Margie Johnson of Afton, and Marc and Donna Johnson of Bixby; a daughter and her husband, Jane and Bill Hull of Long Beach, Calif.; two brothers, Ralph Frazier of Joplin, and Jack Frazier of Vinita; a sister, Aileen Mahoney of Chicago; eleven grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents; her husband; a brother, David Frazier; and two sisters, Goldie Roberts, and Beulah Bernberg.
A graveside service was at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at Olympus Cemetery in Grove, with Rev. Jerry Baser officiating.
Services are under the direction of Roland Adcock with Adcock Funeral Home in Afton.
