COLCORD - George Edward Lamb, 80, of Colcord, Oklahoma died January 13, 2009, at Washington Regional Hospital, Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born August 13, 1928 in Montgomery, Alabama. George was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and a former Navy Veteran. He was a retired truck driver for Great Lakes Chemical. George was a volunteer at the Siloam Springs Senior Activity Center and Meals on Wheels. He was a member of the Nelms Masonic Lodge in Smyrna, Georgia. George was also a member of Community Christian Fellowship in Siloam Springs. He married Beverly Ferrill in North Little Rock, Arkansas, on December 26, 1974.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Carol L. Vanover; one grandson, Doug Beachum; and two brothers, Billy Lamb and Bobby Lamb.

 Survivors include his wife Beverly of the home; three sons, Eddie Lamb and wife Brenda of Austell, Georgia, Ronnie Jarvis and wife Wendy of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, and Jeffrey Lamb and wife Rebecca  of Lincoln, Arkansas; two daughters, Brenda Markielowski of Norwood, North Carolina and Christine Morris and husband Clint of Malvern, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Charles Lamb, Luke Lamb, Rebecca Goode, Christy Samples, Coleman Jarvis, Sarah, Jarvis, Tristen Morris, Izaak Lamb, Kaitlyn Lamb; seven great grandchildren, Todd Lamb, Keith Leffen, Megan Gibson, Shawn Gibson, Randy Lee Goode, Austin Samples and Ryan Samples.

     Funeral services were 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2009, at Community Christian Fellowship, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Pastor Jay Foley officiating. Masonic services were 6:30 p.m., Friday, January 16, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Visitation followed the Masonic service until 8:00 p.m.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Siloam Springs Senior Activity Center, 750 Heritage Court, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
