JAY – Delaware County Commissioners made quick work of their agenda Monday morning, dealing with bids, claims and grants.
Commissioners opened three bids submitted for the purchase of a new rescue truck for the Cleora Fire Department. Bids were received in the amounts of $72,900, $95,029, and $99,212. The winning bid will be announced during next weeks meeting.
A claim requesting payment to Rose & McCrary for engineering fees in the amount of $6,650 was approved for their engineering on the Cherokee Creek Bridge project.
The board signed a letter of acceptance of a grant for $50,000 with Grand Gateway for the replacement of the roof on the Annex Building.
Commissioners discussed when the east door of the courthouse would be opened. According to District #2 Commissioner Billy Cornell, his crew is putting rails on the ramps and this should be completed today. The metal detector will be moved to that location and the doors should be ready to use at a later date to be announced.
The next meeting of the Delaware County Commissioners will be held on Monday, May 10, starting at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners Office of the Delaware County Courthouse.
