AFTON - One adult and one toddler were injured in a one-vehicle accident near Afton Wednesday, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Amy Jo Donley, 29, of Afton, sustained leg injuries in the accident. She was transported to Baptist Regional Hospital in Miami where she was listed in good condition.

A passenger in the Donley vehicle, he nephew, Rueben E. Baumann, 2, of Afton, sustained arm injuries in the crash. He was also transported to Baptist Regional Hospital, where he was treated and released.

According to the report, The Donley vehicle was westbound on Highway 60 around 11:40 Wednesday morning one mile east and one mile north of Afton when it ran off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle traveled 144 feet, struck a sign, traveled another 144 feet and struck a guardrail, then rolled over one and one-quarter times before coming to rest on its side.

Neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident, the patrol said.
