Raggedy’s Restaurant in Grove is holding their first annual Pantry Project food drive to collect non-parishable food donations for the Christian H.E.L.P. Center. Pantry Project began on October 15 and will continue until December 31.

“We are trying not just to encourage our customers to donate, but when they donate, we will also reward them,” said Lynette Bartley, the restaurant manager and organizer of the project.

Each customer who brings in a donation will be given an opportunity to draw coupons from a bucket. Coupons range from free ice cream to top their cobbler to free meals. There is no limit to how many times a customer can play.

“They can draw everyday if they bring in donations,” said Bartley.

“Customers have been great with their donations. We have great customers and they really do care,” she said.

Raggedy’s has created a shopping list of the most needed food drive items. On the list is: canned food (fruit and vegetables), canned meats and fish, peanut butter, jelly, pasta, beans, rice, canned soup, cereal, tomato sauce, powdered milk and cooking oil.

Raggedy’s is located at 414 E. 3rd in Grove.
