GROVE – The amount of sales and use tax distributed dropped in May for the City of Grove.

Sales tax collected from March 16 to March 31 and estimated sales from April 1 to April 15 on the city’s 3.4 percent sales tax resulted in a $459,545.10 distribution from the state in that time period, a decrease from the $499,362.10 the city received in March through April of last year.

Grove’s city use tax dropped from $42,111.87 to $34,585.73.

Countywide, Delaware County also saw a decrease in the monthly distribution, according to the figures published in a monthly report released from the Oklahoma Tax Commission.
