A Grove man was taken into police custody after wielding a 4-foot sword and destroying a set camper trailer tires, Grove Police Chief Mark Morris said Wednesday.
Jason Cormican, 27, was arrested Sunday by Grove police and held on public intoxication and unlawful use of carry a weapon while under the influence of alcohol.
Cormican was also found in possession of a Bowie knife.
According to police reports, Cormican was fighting with a relative and used the sword to destroy the camperís tires. The relative declined to press charges, the police report stated.
In an unrelated matter, a routine traffic stop led Grove police to arrest a Missouri man wanted on outstanding warrants.
Cody Douglas Jones, 19, of Neosho, was taken into custody on tampering with a motor vehicle, resisting arrest and grand larceny.
Jones remains in the Delaware County jail
Morris said officers were kept busy over the weekend, and logged a number of traffic stops and warrant arrests.
