STRINGTOWN, OK – A Louisiana man has escaped from prison and may be headed to the Grand Lake area.
Quentin Shannon Battle, a/k/a Rocky Battle, escaped from the Mac Alford Correctional Center in Stringtown, on July 8th, in the company of another prisoner who has since been captured.
Officials believe that Battle is headed to a friend’s home in the Grand Lake area. According to authorities, family members in Louisiana have severed all ties with the fugitive.
He was last seen in Colgate, OK by police officers. He is believed to be on foot and wearing prison grays.
Battle is 43 years old, 6’ tall, and weighs 185 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has numerous tattoos on his back including a serpent, a dragon, an eyeball, faces, skulls, demons, tribal designs, a spider, and a skull on his right upper arm, a “B” on his left upper arm and a serpent, dragon, and sun on his abdomen.
Battle is a known flight risk and has escaped from prison on two other occasions. He was convicted of burglary in Delaware County and sent to Mac Alford in July 2007.
Authorities do not believe him to be armed or dangerous.
