Details of Integris Grove Hospital’s layoff of an unspecified number of employees remained sketchy as of press time.
Phone calls to Integris Grove CEO Greg Martin and to officials in Oklahoma City were not returned Monday.
The downscaling of Integris personnel reportedly affects Grove, Miami and Pryor facilities.
A release from the Integris business office in Oklahoma City said that the current economy and its impact on our workforce, as well as impending changes in legislation, have caused us to adjust the way they do business.
“In order to assure that we continue to provide the same high level of patient care and service to our communities, changes must be made,” the release said.
“These changes involve consolidations, reduction in duplicated responsibilities, and a more unified system approach. We expect the outcome to enhance efficiencies, reduce redundancies and leverage system resources; however in order to there will be positions across the system that will be eliminated.
“These changes will assure a stronger, more integrated and more cost effective system,” the release concluded.
