Just a reminder that at 7 p.m. tonight, Dec. 6, Lendonwood Gardens will host the annual Angel of Hope ceremony.

Prior to the ceremony there will be cookies (provided by Grandwood Assisted Living of Grove) and hot chocolate and also a bonfire, to keep warm.

This year there will be luminaries lighting the drive into the back area of Lendonwood, along with luminaries on the path to the Angel statue.

Participants will be given a white flower (courtesy of Annie's Garden Gate florist in Grove, in memory of the owner's son) and a white votive candle.

These will be placed at the base of the statue.

Master of Ceremonies will be Jim Reynolds, President of the Lendonwood Gardens Board of Directors. Benediction will be from Fr. Howard Wilson.

Mardee Dodge will give a brief history of the Angel. Mayor Marty Follis of Grove may say a few words, also. Patti Beth Anderson is scheduled to sing a brief song.

The entire ceremony only takes about a half hour.
