JAY – A former Jay Schools custodian has been charged with 13 counts of sexually assaulting a 16 year-old student.

Adam Wolfe, 45 has been charged with 4 counts of second degree rape, 3 counts of second degree rape by instrumentation, 3 counts of forcible oral sodomy and 3 counts of sexual battery according to court records filed June 4.

According to the affidavit for arrest filed by Jay Police Officer Dave Rathbone, the now 17 year-old girl claims that Wolfe had sex with her in the art classroom, computer/tech classroom and the custodial office starting the week before Christmas break in December 2009.

The girl contacted Officer Rathbone and told the officer she was having an inappropriate relationship with Wolfe that started out as a friendship, but later changed to sexual, according to her statement.

When confronted with the accusations, Wolfe confessed to the claims and told Officer Rathbone, “she just makes him weak and he’s unable to resist her”.

Wolfe has been taken into custody on June 2 and remains incarcerated in the Delaware County Jail on a $580,000 bond.

He has been released from his position at Jay Schools, according to school officials.
