Four Grove residents were killed Tuesday evening, in two separate accidents, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

In the first incident, Donald Charles Kelley, 77, of Grove died when the 2004 Toyota he was driving left the roadway, struck a culvert, rolled two complete times before coming to rest on its wheels.

That accident took place at approximately 5:33 p.m. 1-1/2 miles west of Welch on SH2 in Craig County.

Kelley was ejected from the vehicle through the sunroof and sustained internal, trunk external, arm and leg injuries. He died at the scene.

His wife, Nancy Kelley, 76, was ejected from the passenger window and sustained head, trunk internal, trunk external, arm and leg injuries. She was transported to Craig General Hospital in Vinita, Okla., where she died from her injuries.

The OHP report states neither were wearing seat belts. The cause of the collision is under investigation.

In the second incident, Grove woman and her 2-year-old child were fatality injured Tuesday evening, in a one vehicle accident on 60800 County Road E., two miles north of Grove near Hickory Grove.

Kayla Deann Hull, 23, and Kane Alexander Hull, 2, both died at the scene of the accident of the accident.

According to the OHP, the 1974 Ford F150 pickup, driven by Casey Lee Dean Nelson, 22, Bernice, was traveling east on County Road 250 when it left the roadway and struck a tree. Nelson was pinned for more than an hour and a half before being extricated using the Jaws of Life. Nelson was taken by helicopter to Freeman Hospital in Joplin where he was admitted in critical condition with head, arm, leg and trunk injuries. Hull was ejected from the vehicle.

The OHP reports says that the driver was exceeding the speed limit and that no one in the vehicle was wearing seat belts. Additionally no child restraints were in use.
