JAY – A Jay man stands accused of raping a 13 year-old girl.

Grant Matthews Wiley, 25 of Jay, has been charged with first-degree rape after the victim was taken to the emergency room at Integris Grove Hospital complaining of vaginal bleeding.

Wiley was arrested on Nov. 10 after charges of first-degree rape were filed on Nov. 9 and a $100,000 bond was set for his arrest. On Nov. 12 Wiley appeared in court where his bond was reduced to $30,000. He posted bond and was released.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed by Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputy Ron Teel, he was contacted by Jay Police Officer Miles Mussati in reference to a sexual attack on a teenage girl. Captain Teel was told by the victim that she had been asked to babysit in the Wiley home, had left and returned to retrieve a bracelet when Wiley allegedly molested her.
