On September 26th, the age old question, “What’s for dinner?” will be answered with an assortment of tantalizing options at the area’s premier food and wine sampling event, the Taste of Grand, which will take place at 7 p.m. at the INTEGRIS Medical Plaza, 900 E. 13th St. in Grove.
The event, a fundraiser for the INTEGRIS Grove General Hospital Foundation, offers a mouthwatering menu of local cuisine as well as a terrific variety of wine and spirits.
Twenty restaurants and caterers have been confirmed as participants so far, and each will present signature dishes from their respective specialties, which range from barbecue and pizza to steaks and seafood.
Those taking part to date include Arrowhead Yacht Club, Charlie’s Chicken, Cherokee Queen Motel & Hilltop Café, Cherokee Yacht Club, Gourmet At Home, Grand Lake Casino – The End Zone Restaurant, Hoover’s Round Up Café, La Casita de Martin, Lighthouse Grill, MJ Services, Oliver’s Twist, Pizza Hut, Quarter Deck Waterfront Café & Bar, Rib Crib, Royal Bay, Silver Spoon Catering, Stovall’s Classic Catering, The Shebang, Timbered-In, and Your Place Restaurant.
Guests should also save room for some excellent after-dinner entertainment. Performing again this year are the Wavetones, a musical act that plays everything from classic rock ‘n’ roll to favorites from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s as well as many current dance hits.
Proceeds from Taste of Grand benefit the INTEGRIS Grove General Hospital Foundation, a nonprofit organization that funds continuing advancements in local health care and medical treatments for those in need.
Tickets are $80 and can be purchased at any Grove bank, at the door the night of the event, or by calling (918) 787-3855. For further details, visit www.tasteofgrand.com or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
