The Grove Area Chamber of Commerce will be presenting the PRIDE Program on Thursday, January 22, 2009, 9:30 a.m. at the Chamber office.

The PRIDE program was developed by OSU and is targeted to front line employees that deal with the public.† PRIDE stands for Producing Resourceful, Informed, and Devoted Employees. Topics discussed during the training include knowing your customerís needs and expectations, offering a customer friendly environment and having customer friendly employees.† The program also emphasizes having a good knowledge of the community including attractions and places to see.† The session is not all lecture and really involves the participants.

† The actual training takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.† There is a charge of $2.00 per person for a PRIDE lapel pin.

Lisa Friden, Chamber President stated ďthis training is a must for anyone that greets the public. When good hospitality spreads throughout our community everybody wins! Even if you feel your employees are friendly, they will leave the training with a tremendous understanding of not only how to give good customer service, but why itís so important to your business and our entire community. They also will learn things about our community attractions that even long time residents donít know!Ē†

If you would like to be included in this session or send your employees, please RSVP to the Chamber office at 786-9079 by Wednesday, January 21st.
