A single vehicle accident took place over the weekend resulting in the hospitalization of a Tulsa resident, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.
Daniel Roy Thompson, 29, of Tulsa, was transported from INTEGRIS Grove General in Grove to Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa where he is listed in poor condition, after he overcorrected a turn while riding his motorcycle just outside of Jay in Delaware County.
According to reports, Thompson was traveling westbound on County Road 524, seven miles west and one mile south of Jay, just after 7 p.m. on Saturday. Thompson, who was riding a 2007 Kawasaki Motorcycle, failed to negotiate a curve and departed the roadway, striking an embankment.
He was transported by MESTA to INTEGRIS Grove General Hospital before being taken to Hillcrest Hospital where he was admitted in poor condition with head, arm, leg and trunk internal and external injuries.
The incident was worked by OHP Trooper Ruben Hernandez, of the Delaware County Detachment with the assistance of Trooper Scott Green.
