JAY – A Grove man has been arrested for drugs after a complaint was lodged against him for stolen property.

Johnathon Ross Kline Jr., 18, was arrested after officers with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department came to his residence in Grove to investigate a report by his landlady that there was a television belonging to her in the residence.

Investigator Ron Teel went to the Kline home where he talked to the suspect and his girlfriend regarding the television that was later determined to belong to the landlord. While in the home, Investigator Teel noticed a shotgun in the bedroom along with a substance that later field-tested for marijuana.

Kline told the investigator that he had purchased the television, but could not produce a receipt. He then told Investigator Teel that a friend of his had sold him the television, along with other electronics, according to the officer’s report.

The suspect was placed under arrested and transported to the Delaware County Jail. He has since been released on a  $6,250.00 bond.

He could face possible charges of knowingly concealing stolen property, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm while in commission of a felony.
