JAY Commissioners addressed funding for several road projects during their regular meeting Monday morning.
Commissioners approved funding and engineering contracts on three road projects within the county. Approved was S 682 Road for District #3, Topsy Turnpike in District #2 and Mt. Herman Road, also in District #2. Rose & McCrary will be the engineering firm for the projects.
Two lake access roads were given the nod by the board in District #1. They are Harbors View Marina Road and Bernice Ramp Road.
West Siloam Springs Fire Department named officers. Stan Shelley was named as requisitioning officer, receiving officer will be Joey Dozier and Gay Kendrick will serve as inventory officer.
Sealed bids will be advertised on a pre cast span bridge 24 in length and 26 wide for District #1. An insurance notice of tort claim from Matt Ipock for District #1 was also approved.
In other business Monday morning:
District #1 will enter into a borrow permit with Bruce Morrow for gravel.
Approved was a hardware maintenance agreement between Business Imaging Systems, Inc. and the Delaware County Clerk.
Approved was the sponsorship of a REAP Grant for the Delaware County Rural Water District #9 in the amount of $6,000.
A monitor was transferred from the Delaware County Health Department to the County Commissioners Office.
Tabled was the acceptance of a bid for a skid unit/apparatus for the Bernice Fire Department.
The next meeting of the Delaware County Commissioners will be held on Mon., March 10 at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners Office of the Delaware County Courthouse.
