JAY – A trial date has been set for an Afton man accused of sexual misconduct with two teenage girls.
Tommy Hoover, 60, appeared in district court Monday morning, January 12th, in front of Judge Robert Haney during the felony disposition docket.
A trial date of February 23rd was set.
Hoover is charged with second-degree rape, second-degree rape by instrumentation and forcible oral sodomy.
The alleged rape incidents occurred between March and October of 2007 with two underage females.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed in district court, on two separate occasions Hoover fondled both girls, and had sex with the younger during one of the occasions.
The younger girl claimed that Hoover gave her $20 after the assault.
Both girls stated they were afraid and did not resist his advances.
Hoover was released from the Delaware County jail on a $100,000 bond in February, 2008
