OKLAHOMA CITY - Several Delaware County residents were recognized as employees and partners in human service recently when the Oklahoma Department of Human Services honored its members and supporters at the 14th Annual Quality Awards and Employee Recognition Ceremony.

Kent E. Vice, Child Support Specialist IV with the Child Support Enforcement Division in the Jay District Office was honored with a “Best of the Best” award.

In the ceremony awards publication, it says that, “Kent Vice is patient and sensitive to our clients' needs. Customers often call upon Kent during his personal time to assist in their pursuit of support. Kent competently performs his duties, ensuring fairness for all parties. He is a strong leader, and his work ethics and integrity ensure a smooth operation while striving to reach the goals of the agency.”

Social Services Specialist IV for Delaware County, Alice J. Reed received a “Best of the Best” award as well. In a glowing commendation, the publication states, “Alice Jeanie Reed is committed to the people of Delaware County. She and her unit collected gifts for more than 500 children. She worked many hours to see that every child received a gift. Jeanie sponsors an annual coat drive, serves on several local committees, volunteers in the free medical clinic, and is just a very kind, caring and giving person.”

Delaware County Special Judge Alicia Littlefield received a “Partner Award” for her part in child support collections. The awards publication said, “Judge Alicia Littlefield conduct child support dockets of more than 100 cases with grace and humor. Her commitment to providing reliable support for children is unsurpassed. Her attitude of 'pick up cans or else' has increased collections dramatically. Her no-nonsense approach to collection is matched by her dedication in helping non-custodial parents succeed in their efforts to support their children.”

Also named during the ceremony and receiving Honorable Mention were Susan Gilliland, County Director II, Daryl Ingram, Child Welfare Specialist IV and Carol Schraad, Child Welfare Specialist, all with the Delaware County Human Services Center.
